Ceramic Band Heaters are constructed of precision made segmented ceramics. The ceramics are covered with insulation, which serves to lower the shroud temperatures and concentrates the heat towards the barrel. The end results are less wasted energy, a lower wattage requirement and a longer heater life. Depending upon the Volt and Wattage a suitable size of the resistance wire is selected as per the recommendation of the resistance wire manufacturer.

Ceramic Band Heaters design consist of a helically wound resistance coil made from 80/20 nichrome wire, evenly stretched and precisely strung through a specially designed ceramic insulating bricks forming a flexible heating mat. The ceramic heating mat along with ceramic fiber insulation is placed on a stainless steel housing made with serrated edges providing maximum flexibility for easy installation.

Mica Band Heaters are ideal for every type of plastics processing equipment. Mica Band heaters are manufactured from high quality mica and have Nickel Chrome resistance. It is covered by metal sheathing & can be rolled to the required shape. The use of mica is cost effective, allows the weight of the heater to be kept to a minimum and accelerating heat transfer through the sheath of the heater & into & the object requiring heat. Mica band heaters operate efficiently when the sheath temperatures are kept below 250° C. If this temperature is maintained, the life of the band heaters gets long.

Band heaters, made of micanite or ceramics covered with metal sheet, are used for contact heating in injection machines/extruders and for heating of containers, tanks etc.

Round mica band heaters can be found in several types of dimension, wattage, voltages and material. Mica band heaters are an inexpensive industrial heating solution that surrounds pipes and tubes that require external indirect heating.

Pipe heating, drum heating, barrel heating normally used for oils, lubricants or any other circular applications. Band heaters use electric heating elements (NiCr wire) to heat-up the external surface of drums or pipes for a gradual heat transfer.

Industrial band heaters can be made with terminal boxes or moisture resistant terminal boxes that protect terminations and have the option of a thermostat or thermocouple digital temperature controllers to help control and regulate an applied heat.
